Oil pastel gravestone rubbing on natural hand dyed and distressed muslin. Each piece is uniquely finished with hand written epitaphs collected over several years and embroidery floss to enhance details.

There are no personal details included in any of the rubbings other than the year of death if it was readable. The title of each piece begins with the order in which it was finished and ends with the last two digits of the year of death on the stone written in Roman numerals. Most rubbings date back from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
